December – Member Of the Month
Congratulations to our December Member of the Month- Yehna Cho! Yehna came to check us out in 2017 and we are so happy she did. When she first showed up, she had done her homework. She knew tons about movement, programming, and what she was looking for in a gym. Yehna never ceases to surprise us. She constantly pushes herself outside of her comfort zone, from joining Run Club to practicing weightlifting with Coach Albert. She gave up her whole weekend to be in Oakland supporting our weightlifters at their meet last month (she went both days even though we had only one lifter on Saturday because she thought everyone deserved the same support!). We only wish Yehna didn’t doubt herself so much, because she is incredibly athletic, tough and strong. We have enjoyed every minute of watching her breakdown barriers and find her strengths. She always has a smile on her face, is friendly to every person she sees, and is only beginning to find out how far she can go!
When did you start CrossFit? Technically, Summer 2014 in SD but only for 3 months & came back September 2017 at CFL
What class do you frequent? 6:30PM, but you might see me at 5:30PM weightlifting.
When is your birthday? November 6, 1993
If you could be a celebrity for a day, who would you be? Of course, Kate Middleton – who wouldn’t want to be a princess and part of royalty?
What’s something you’re really good at, but sort of embarrassed that you are really good at it? Computer video games – but don’t ask me to play with you because I probably will decline. I’ve played everything from League of Legends, Counter Strike, Heroes of the Storm, Diablo, Runescape, Maplestory, etc.
What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point? Bubble baths & thrift shopping
What is your favorite cheat meal? Does ice cream count as meal?
List your three best personality traits: Loyal, Spontaneous, & Open minded
List your three worst personality traits: Complainer, Emotional, & Over thinker
What would be your favorite CrossFit workout? I’m not sure if I have a favorite, but If I had to make one.. something with deadlifts, wall balls, and farmer carry?
What would be your least favorite CrossFit workout? At the moment- MURPH, but honestly probably anything with box jumps and burpees
What does CFL mean to you?
Commitment – Just show up and do your best! It won’t be easy in the beginning and you’ll be sore, but over time, you’ll feel better mentally and physically over time. The improvements will show and you’ll be rewarded for your commitment 🙂
Family – Everyone at Crossfit Livermore will become your second family! Surrounded by nothing but greatness. Hugs, high fives, fist pumps, words of encouragement, laughs, and tears.
Love – Everyone is filled with genuine support and willingness to help. It might be a love hate relationship, but you’ll be thankful for stopping by the CFL gym. 🙂
