December – Member of the Month

Meet our last MOM for 2017- Kris Watts! We hope you have enjoyed MOM interviews as much as we have this year. We love using these to let you get to know another side of the people you see everyday at your workouts. We have a big and ever growing community at CFL, and we work hard to make sure you all know at least a little about each other.
What isn’t there to say about Kris? He is athletic (a retired Baseball player), funny, extremely kind. and easy to get along with. You may have seen him and his girlfriend Paige, and their very adorable Boxer at CFL events, such as Murph or the Holiday Party. Kris is always working hard in class, even though he never misses an opportunity for a laugh. His work schedule sometimes has him shift his workout schedule around a bit, but with how fit he is you would never know. Hes very coach-able and has caught on quick to all things CrossFit. We feel very lucky to have Kris as a part of our community and those who know him would agree!

When did you start CrossFit?
-Started CFL in 2016 but did some Crossfit here and there before that.
What class do you frequent?
-I’m a 3:30 or 4:30 kind of guy.
When is your birthday?
-July 15, 1984
What song would you sing at Karaoke?
-“You’ve lost that lovin’ feelin'” -Righteous Brothers
What motivates you to work hard?
-Accomplishment
What is your favorite cheat meal?
-Chicken Parmesan

-Humble, dedicated, and funny

-I’m kind of OCD, impatient, and vulgar
What’s your favorite movie quote?
Just because you said “with all due respect” doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want.
Well it sure as heck does! It’s in the Geneva Convention… look it up.

What’s your best hidden talent?:
-Decent on a BBQ
What does a regular Saturday look like to you?
-Wake up, walk the dog, have a cup of coffee while watching English Premier League soccer,  get a workout in at CFL with some mattitude, chop wood, shoot a crossbow, change a car tire, carve a turkey, ride a dirt bike, grow a beard, and make beef jerky.
What would be your favorite CrossFit workout?
10 minute EMOM:
1 air squat total – 1st minute
1 pull up total – 2nd minute
1 burpee total – 3rd minute
1 cal row total – 4th minute
Rest – 5th minute
1 push up total – 6th minute
1 sit up total – 7th minute
1 wall ball total – 8th minute
1 kettle ball swing 15lb total – 9th minute
Rest – 10th minute
What would be your least favorite CrossFit workout?
Murph
