November – Member of the Month

Our November Member of the Month is Anabel Delgado! We love highlighting one of our members each month to give you the change to know each other a little better. Our community at CFL is ever growing, yet still remains unbelievably tight and friendly.
We chose Anabel as our November MOM because of how much her work ethic impresses us on a daily basis. Since joining us a year ago, she’s dropped some 20-30 pounds and not only looks but acts like a different person! She is confident, strong, and really works hard each time she’s in the gym. Her husband Eli is also a member, but you might recognize her instead from her 3 adorable children that come with her occasionally. Her running, strength and overall capacity have improved tremendously this past year. However, regardless of the amazing athlete she is becoming, we love Anabel for her sweet, kind, genuine smile and friendship. She is a little soft spoken (only in the gym!), but make sure to say hi next time you see her- we promise you’ll love her as much as we do!

When did you start CrossFit?  
Signed up in January of this year, but technically didn’t actually get the courage to start going until March! I was SO nervous to start but now I’m addicted! 

What class do you frequent?
I’m all over the place, depending on our schedule with work and the kids…. but I typically make the 3:30 or 6:30 and saturdays at 9

When is your birthday?
October 24th

If you could be a celebrity for a day, who would you be?
Hmmm… probably Mila Kunis… she’s hilarious and she is married to Ashton Kutcher 😉

What’s something you’re really good at, but sort of embarrassed that you are really good at it? 
Harry Potter trivia. I love to read and I’m a nerd at heart….

What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point?
The Kardashian’s. I mean really…??!!

What is your favorite cheat meal?
Pizza with a nice big glass of Hefeweizen…oh,and Mexican sweet bread… so good!

List your three best personality traits:
Funny ( I think so anyway..I make myself laugh)

List your three worst personality traits:
Self-conscious/Shy…when it comes to anything new 
Borderline A.D.D

What would be your favorite CrossFit workout? Anything with deadlifts, front/back squats, and rowing ..

What would be your least favorite CrossFit workout? 
Anything that involves the foam roller… it’s a torture device. And not a fan of wall balls, there’s been a few times My face caught the medicine ball… ho

What does CFL mean to you? CFL really sparked a complete lifestyle change for me. Prior to starting, I was unhappy with how I physically felt and wasn’t doing anything to take care of me, I was  just trying to keep up with work and my family. I never thought Crossfit was something I could do, but from the start, the coaches and community at CFL have been so supportive and encouraging…. I now feel like a new person, both mentally and physically. I look at my nutrition(for myself and my family) from a completely different perspective, and I make it a point to make it to classes… with all the craziness of work and keeping up with my kids… my time at CFL keeps me sane 😊
